FACE MASKS FOREVER: Austin Public Health Wants Children to Wear Face Masks Forever in May 2023 Ad Campaign
It's the last week of May 2023 and Austin Public Health is still spending tax dollars to push anti-scientific propaganda that encourages children to engage in unhealthy behaviors that have been thoroughly discredited.
Austin Public Health ran this full page, full color ad on the inside front cover of the Austin Chronicle on May 12, 2023. (link)
The ad features two parents wearing superhero capes, with messaging that encourages Austin parents to "Be Your Child's Hero" and "Vaccinate your child against COVID-19".
The ad encourages readers to scan a QR Code to download a free "Health Hero" digital comic coloring book.
APH created a dedicated page on City of Austin's website for the 'Be Your Child's Hero' campaign.
Click that link, and you'll see Austin Public Health is still acting like it's March 2020.
From Austin Public Health's "Be Your Child's Hero" web page:
Young children have a high risk of getting seriously ill and are even hospitalized due to COVID-19.
As a parent or caregiver, you want to do everything you can to protect your child.
You want them out of hospitals and emergency rooms so they can enjoy going to school or daycare, playing with friends and participating in sports and other activities.
Be your child’s hero and protect them from COVID-19.
WHY IS AUSTIN PUBLIC HEALTH ENCOURAGING CHILDREN TO ENGAGE IN UNHEALTHY BEHAVIOR?
Austin Public Health was is using your tax dollars to spread harmful, unscientific lies that have been thoroughly debunked countless times over the past 38 months.
It's not hyperbole to call this Austin Public Health advertising campaign reckless, unhealthy and unscientific.
Zero healthy children in Austin have died from Covid-19 over the past 38 months. Zero!
If you are a healthy 18 year old male who is finishing up their senior year if high school, what is the risk-reward benefit of getting injected with two mRNA shots in May 2023, considering you have virtually zero chance of experiencing serious health effects from Covid-19.
But CDC data shows:
Your specific demographic (age and gender) has a greater likelihood of contracting "Myocarditis associated with mRNA Covid-19 vaccination". (link)
Children do not readily acquire Covid-19.
There was never any scientific justification for masking children.
But Austin Public Health is still pushing this harmful, unhealthy propaganda. APH leadership believes that children should wear face masks for the rest of their lives.
Let's take a look at Austin Public Health's digital "coloring book"
Front cover of the APH "Health Hero:" digital comic coloring book:
The inside front cover allows your child to personalize their digital comic book.
Notice the drawings of eight people who are demonstrating 100% face mask compliance.
All the children in this Austin Public Health comic book are still wearing masks in classrooms.
Austin Public Health wants to know: "What would a super hero face mask look like?"
Check out these three panels:
PANEL #1: Student decides to "paint my face mask just like my favorite hero's (sic)" during art class
PANEL #2: Very excited to put on his new face mask
PANEL #3: Puts on face mask and turns into superhero
Towards the end, Austin Public Health recaps the most important points, including:
"Wear a face covering and social distance in public"
"Stay up to date with your flu and Covid-19 vaccines"
Austin Public Health has an 'About APH' page at the back of the digital comic coloring book.
"APH creates educational tools such as this comic to help you and your family stay healthy. You can download and share with your family and friends, and learn about all the ways that you can help yourself and your loved ones"
This digital comic coloring book is an online PDF. How are the children supposed to color in the lines after their parents download it?
Does APH think parents will waste precious ink and print this comic on paper, so their kids can color in the lines?
Are parents supposed to figure out how to import the PDF into a coloring or drawing app like Procreate, so their kids can color in the lines on a touch-screen tablet or laptop?
2020 to 2021 – Fauci and other top officials repeatedly advised masks were effective against COVID. But this contradicted Fauci’s prior statements that masking was merely psychological and sometimes harmful. Ultimately, masks did not stop the spread. 49/pic.twitter.com/wcdLZlCsTN
